Foreign tourists from Brazil and Israel may come to the Philippines for a visit up to fifty-nine (59) days without a visa.
Foreign tourists who are holders of passports issued by the following organization may come to the Philippines for a visit without a visa for only up to seven (7) days:
Hong Kong Special Administrative (SAR)
British National Overseas (BNO)
Portuguese passports issued in Macao
Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR)
Visitors who are blacklisted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Bureau of Immigration of the Philippines will not be allowed entrance to the country.
A Philippine visa is only required when foreign tourists wish to stay in the country for a period longer than what is stipulated above. The Bureau of Immigration of the Philippines issue a temporary visit visa to foreign tourists who declare their intention to stay in the Philippines for a legitimate and nonimmigrant purpose only.
It is a requirement that applications for a temporary visa be done in person. A temporary visa for a minor who is under eighteen (18) years of age may be applied for him/her by his/her guardian who responsible for his/her welfare. The minor, together with the guardian, needs to go to the Philippine Consulate for an interview.
Applications for temporary visit visa are processed by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate. Applications should be submitted to the embassy or consulate that has authority over the applicants place of residence. There are visa applicants who are permitted to lodge their applications at any Philippine Embassy or Consulate within or outside their country of origin or legal residence. But there are also applicants who are only allowed to submit applications at their country of origin or legal residence.
The visa requirements for foreign tourists to the Philippines are the following: passport/travel document valid for at least six (6) months beyond the foreign tourists intended period of stay in the Philippines
Visa application forms accomplished with complete information
Two (2) pieces passport photos
Evidences that the applicant is a legitimate tourist or businessman
Confirmed tickets for return or onward destination
