A tourist going to the Iloilo International airport complex has different traveling options. This route options branches out from the main road leading to the airport. The airport is connected to the city proper via the Thomas Confesor highway. Operators of taxi cabs in the province petitioned the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board to increase rates of taxis traveling to the airport by one hundred fifty pesos, a decision heavily criticized by the city officials because that would turn the fare to the airport the most expensive of any airport fare in the country, as well as have a severe effect on the growing tourism market of Iloilo.
The Iloilo International airport is easily accessible by jeepney to the town proper, after which passengers may share a cab to the airport. Travelers may also ride jeepneys enroute to Janiuay, Calinog or Cabatuan, all of which makes a stop at Santa Barbara.
The old railroad in Panay is also being considered as an option to get into the airport.
